The first Internet based resource looks at the issue of Price; in particular the factors which influence price, and penetration and skimming pricing.

Nicola's second Internet based activity focuses on marketing and the consumer. It examines the issues of market segmentation, consumer wants and needs, and provides a case study based on Nike and the use of the Internet to sell their product.

Publish your own magazine!

This integrated activity provides an innovative approach to the teaching and assessment of areas of study 1�3 in Unit 2 and involves students developing, marketing and managing a new magazine throughout the unit. The approach will allow students to demonstrate achievement of Outcomes 1, 2 and 3 through a portfolio of assessment tasks. Teacher notes based on a trialled use of this activity by Robert Lee are provided as a Compak supplement.

Public Relations: Issues vs Crises What is the Difference

These student activities focus on understanding the difference between something being a public relations issue or a crisis. This resource has been designed for area of study 3 in Unit 2. The activities can be completed as stand-alone activities or as a sequence. Activity A could be used as part (a) and Activity B or C could be used as part (b) of student assessment for Outcome 3 in Unit 2. Activity C could be assessed by both the classroom teacher and by peer appraisal. Web references for Activity B are provided in a Compak supplement.
